    1. Thanks Ruby,
I keep finding bits I want to repaint or tweak. Need to learn to leave well alone and move on.

    1. Glad you like him. He doesn't have a name yet, something amphibious is needed. He is destined to live on my desk in my classroom. Most of my more bizarre creations move into there.

I have ambitions to make a lamp-post, al a Narnia and a Hogwarts library in the carpet area. Long term I want a cushioned floor with books piled around and lots of pictures etc where the kids can let their imaginations run wild.

  4. It had been so interesting to see how you have progressed with this.

Now he is finished, do you have a similar project next or would you prefer to go onto something comepletely?

    1. Thank you, he was a lot of fun to make. I am not sure what is next; I am back to full time teaching from September so my free time diminishes. But I do fancy making a lamp-post and Mr Tumnus to stand outside the classroom. Recycling old stuff to make it and then covering the whole thing in papier mache before painting it.
Not sure how the head is going to feel though.

  5. Hi Charlotte, the children will be so lucky! Love all of your creations and I am sure the "head" will be amazed and delighted to have such amazing things to be in the school. :)

  6. I read about your intention to make a lamp-post and am curious to know what will happen! I'm sure the contact with the children will give you new ideas - they are such an inspiration, aren't they?:)Have a lovely new school year!
What about this sad fellow... My first feeling for him was that he's just transforming - the question is from a frog into a human or vice versa.
Finally I decided that he's a Prince that has been enchanted to live like a Frog his entire life. And when the spell is gone, he's no longer young. That's why he's so sad...:)

  7. He's just fabulous! I would love to have him sitting by my pond.... Also, hope you're having a great beginning to your school year Charlotte. I know, from many years of teaching, how much work it takes to get started.... but the beginning was always my favorite time. All the new kiddos and their different personalities was so exciting every single year!! Things here are about the same, thanks for commenting. Love hearing from you...
